Introduction

On 21st April 2025, during the house dedication ceremony for Catherine in Mbaaria, Imenti North Constituency, our team, in collaboration with the Methodist Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, had the privilege of visiting Catherine’s family. This visit was part of our ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and fostering holistic community empowerment. Through the generosity of our partners, Catherine’s family received a new house, offering them much-needed shelter and stability.

Adolescent Girls’ Empowerment and Training

As part of our outreach efforts, we engaged with three adolescent girls, providing training on essential life skills, including:

  • Reproductive Health – Educating the girls on their bodies, menstrual health, and well-being.
  • General Hygiene – Emphasizing the importance of personal and environmental cleanliness.
  • Self-Defense – Equipping them with techniques to enhance personal safety and confidence, courtesy of the Girls Empowerment Program.

Distribution of Reusable Sanitary Kits

Recognizing the challenges young girls face in accessing menstrual hygiene products, we provided reusable sanitary pad kits to support their dignity and health during their menstrual cycles. This initiative aligns with our broader commitment to empowering girls and ensuring access to sustainable, health-conscious solutions.

Case Highlight

One of the beneficiaries is a 15-year-old girl, a former class five student who had to drop out of school due to early motherhood. With a three-month-old baby, she faces immense challenges, but our intervention aimed to provide her with knowledge, resources, and encouragement as she navigates her path forward.
