Background: On the occasion of Patrick and Gatwiri’s house dedication ceremony in Kirige and Nchaure, Meru, the Girls’ Empowerment Program extended its impactful reach to three young girls in the family. During the event, the girls were trained on general hygene. The oldest one who was of age was also trained on the use of reusable sanitary pads, and handed her the re usable pads which were generously provided courtesy of funds donated by the program’s dedicated supporters.
